Voxalike Microphone Setup and Recording Fixes
A good Voxalike session starts with a stable browser microphone stream. Work from permission to device selection to calibration; changing effects or repeating Record will not help while the wrong input is selected.

When Mic Check shows no movement
Open the site-permissions control beside the address bar and allow Microphone. Then check the operating system's privacy settings, return to Voxalike Settings, select the named device, and run Mic Check again.
If the browser was already open when system permission changed, fully quit and restart it. A page refresh may not recreate a blocked microphone stream.
- Select the real microphone instead of Default.
- Disconnect unused headsets or virtual audio devices.
- Close Discord, meeting apps, or audio tools that may hold the input.
When recordings are quiet, noisy, or clipped
Run Mic Check in the room where you will play. Stay silent during the noise sample, then speak at normal performance volume. Use headphones and move the microphone away from the speaker path.
Natural processing keeps more voice detail. Stronger cleaning can help in a noisy room but may soften quiet word endings. Recalibrate after changing devices or moving the microphone.
When a working mic stops during a round
Use Try Again when Voxalike reports an interrupted microphone. Return to Settings if the problem repeats, reselect the input, and run Mic Check before re-entering a room.
VPNs, privacy filters, mobile app switching, Bluetooth changes, and a sleeping USB device can interrupt the secure stream. Keep the tab visible while recording and avoid switching audio devices mid-pack.
Collect useful diagnostics
If the issue persists, use the game's Copy Diagnostic option when available. Include the browser, device, game mode, selected pack, and whether Mic Check or only in-round recording failed.
That distinction matters: a silent Mic Check usually points to permission or input selection, while an in-round interruption points to a stream that started and then became unavailable.
